The company EASTERN GEOPHYSICAL SRL has been founded in 1993, as a result of the initiative of a Romanian geologists and geophysicists team, experienced in petroleum exploration and prospecting activity. The main activity consists in supplying seismic data processing and interpretation services, adding the connected activities represented by the logistic support and consulting.

The activity of the company was unfolded in cooperation with COMPAGNIE GENERALE DE GEOPHYSIQUE (CGG) from France and BAKER HUGHES, focusing on surface seismic data processing 2D and 3D onshore and offshore and on acquisition and processing borehole seismic data like vertical seismic profiling (VSP) were we are activating as the only supplyer on the Romanian market. The seismic data processing system consists in Geovecteur™Plus software installed on an IBM hardware platform. The data acquisition equipment for VSP made by SERCEL or AVALON is supplied in this moment by Baker Hughes. All the supplied geophysical services are in accordance with quality standards, recognized by the international petroleum industry.
